summer shul is an outdoor (for now), covid-cautious, traditional-ish, black/queer/trans led, family-friendly, antizionist shabbat morning chavura that meets in brooklyn! we love kids, elders, singing, and praying together using the traditional liturgy.
Who is this space for? This is for everyone! And we are led by those most gatekept from leadership: children, elders, Black and Indigenous folks, POC, disabled, trans, and queer folks.
Food! Is food provided? Is it a potluck?: Kiddush with BYO lunch and zemirot following!
Is kosher food available? Is it vegetarian or vegan? We provide kosher grape juice and gluten full and free challah!
Will there be alcohol there? no
Are children welcome? If so, what should folks know? yes!!! Hind's Corner is our kids only corner with books, child-size judaica, toys, and more. There will also be a children's dvar and there's a playground on the premises.

What language or languages will be used during this event? we will use hebrew throughout the service, and provide translated/transliterated siddurim with expansive Gd languages
Is there unmasked eating? If so, is this separate from the main space or in the same space? unmasked eating after services; all outdoors
